1940s Printed Silk Swing Dress

1940s Printed Silk Swing Dress

This dress is fantastic - it looks so simple off the hanger but once worn it is cut to do fantastic things to the body. The fabric is a beautiful silk crepe with a taupey orangey back drop that has a black and bright blue print. I adore that fantastic double tiered hip swag that gives nice detail bit does not stick out too much like some swags. The drape is fantastic on this one! Nice period touches in the way the bodice is cut and the shoulders each are gathered in a series of finely stitched gathers. It is absolutely wonderful and as light as air. It has a very early Leslie Fay label and is in perfect condition!
