Spotted Slate GlamourWrap

Spotted Slate GlamourWrap

Re-purposed from an unusual 1940s kimono, this GlamourWrap is a a light grey with a design that incorporates bits of smoke and blue all through it. Its lined half way down, in the traditional method and the lining is a tissue silk in a pale mint green. It is such an unusual fabric to have used - almost reminiscent of a men's vintage smoking jacket!

Glamourwraps by The Glamourai are a hybrid of old and new Japan, of history and adaptability. Created from antique kimonos dating from the 1920's to 1950's, each is one of a kind and can be worn in myriad mutations ~ transforming from a vest to a dress, from a cape to a belted jacket, and back into a kimono again. They fit beautifully on a size 2 to 16, work as wonderfully over jeans as an evening dress, and are offered in a seasonless range of weighted silks weaves.
