1970s Sonia Rykiel Black Mini
This deceptively simple little black moss crepe dress that dates form the late 1970s and possibly the early 1980s. It is very simply cut as are most of her garments and might have originally been meant as a tunic over a pant. The dress is shift like in shape but the fabric allows for movement and it is of course finished off wonderfully. The bottom hem has an edged layer so it hangs just so and I love the wit of the little attached pussy cat bow at the neck. The skinny, lean sleeves balance out the shift dress sahpe and give the whole ensemble a bit of raocker chic glam! Mint

Sleeves: 21" long
Bust: 17" flat across the back
Waist: 15" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Hips: 17.5" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Total length: 32" from shoulder to bottom hem
Unlined and closes with a back painted metal zipper. Note that there is a high slit at the back that is quite high if you are going to wear as a dress you may want to stitch it closed a bit. I am sending as original. It should be dry cleaned when cleaned again in the future.
