This is a stunning, original piece designed exclusively for Shrimpton Couture by RSVP. At first glance it is a cape, however, its extra long ribbons allow for endless stying possibilities if worn as an overdress over other pieces! The body of the piece is made form the finest vintage french hand made Chantilly lace  taken from the remnants of a of lace Victorian shawl. The level of workmanship is astonishing when you look at the delicate lace and it is miraculously soft and supple, not stiff at all. One of the best textiles I have seen! It literally weighs mere ounces! To this beautiful base has been added a fine black silk collar topped by gold metallic couture Mokuba lace. Real natural pearls circle the entire collar - each is very large (14mm) and have a wonderful lustre. There are 19 in all! a organza and blue ribbon give just a hint of color! The best part of this gorgeous piece are the double ribbons on either side of the neck - use them to wrap around the body, tie and style this cape in a million ways - the styling possibilities are endless!

This piece was made at the same time as the gold lame lace dress that some pictures show it with. This cape & dress combination can be worn and styled a million ways with each other or with different pieces. The dress is also available but sold separately.
