Spectacular Flapper Dress by RSVP
This is a truly stunning couture level 1920s dress that has been reworked & parts restored. All the seams and beading have been re-inforced and the collar has been refinished with a silver silk satin ribbon edging. The bodice portion of the dress is all original fabric but each of the swinging panel was meticulously replaced and the fabric matched exactly from another vintaeg piece. The fabric of the body and in the panels is weightless, semi-transparent silk chiffon in a jet black (its styled on Eve over a simple black sheath). What makes this dress extraordinary is the heavily beaded edgings and the spectacular design that is made up of glass silver beading and paste rhinestones. It is astonishingly heavy and the panels are actually wide tear drop shapes. The sides are but sky high so the piece is insanely sexy. The weight of the panels make it swing around your legs when you walk and you will die when you see the beadwork in person! The photos do not come close to capturing the beauty of this piece. Unlined and slips over the head to wear as typical of the period. The fabric is strong and wearable. It should be carefully hand washed or specialty cleaned upon recommendation from your cleaners when cleaned in the future.
