I measure the actual garment so that you can compare it to one of your own that fits you perfectly, rather then trying to sort countless sizing vintage methods into modern day standards.
I then sorted everything into these size charts and into size categories for you to use as a guideline to help you shop quicker!

1980s Silk Jersey Swirl Dress
Fantastic eighties dress in an amazing silk jersey that has a screened, hand painted almost tie die design. The cut is super easy - it just slips over the head to wear so will instantly look fabulous. Its light weight and feel like a million bucks on! I also have the identical dress in pinks and both are in mint condition!
Shoulders: 15" from seam to seam
Bust: 18" from side seam to side seam
Waist: 19" from side seam to side seam
Hips: free
Total length: 38" from shoulders to bottom hem
Sleeves: 22" from shoulder seam to longest point
The dress is unlined and closes with a back painted metal zipper and slips over the head to wear. It should be dry cleaned when cleaned again in the future.

All Shrimpton Couture garments are selected based on their condition and quality so unless a specific condition note is listed, you can expect your garment to be in near-mint or mint condition
