This is one of the coolest, chicest coats done in a fantastic, multi-hued plaid mohair like wool. This is an early piece from the Oscar De La Renta Boutique. It has a fantastic exaggerated Peter Pan collar and a double row of green buttons - it is almost ea coat style mixed with a trench. A tie belt cinches in the waist and it has big front pockets that fold over and really add an interesting detail. It has a high back vent and just a bot of swing as it nears the hem. Really wonderful! It is an amazing and rare piece of fashion history and in excellent condition.

The coat is fully lined in a green taffeta like rayon and closes with front buttons. It has it's original tie belt in a matching fabric. It has a good weight to it but is not unwieldy to wear.

This is a rare and hard to find larger sized Courreges ensemble. It is hard enough to find Courreges this days but to find one that is actually a decent size is wonderful! And the set can be worn together or broken up and worn as separates - double bang for your buck! This is classic Courreges with a sleeveless vest like top and a wrap and snap A-line skirt. The base fabric is jet black and classic knit jersey in a heavier weighted fabric. All the edges are done in signature patent. The top has a seam at the waist for a bit of definition and interesting pinched & stitched seaming details on either side of the waist - these are done in place of the typical seaming that would be done on a garment. The arm holes end in a point another small and unusual Courreges touch. The skirt is fantastic and wraps and snaps into place. Impeccably constructed as one would expect and in excellent condition!

Both pieces are tagged a Courreges size C Both pieces are fully lined in a black silky rayon and snap to close - they can both fully open. The skirt has a large hook and eye inside the waist as well as a hidden snap. There is slight wear to the the patent edging as typical in a Courreges piece of this age. This in no way detracts or deters form the value. Hand finishes.

This is a stunning, museum quality piece that you really will be surprised to see in person - it is very hard to convey how substantial and well made this piece is. Really take a moment to super size the photos to get an idea of the fabric and textures of this piece! Those dots are all raised so you get an amazing textile effect. The bow and bottom hem is made of a heavy grade silk matte satin ribbon. The construction techniques used are of couture level and the main fabric is backed and weighted to retain its shape. Hidden pockets along the front seams, cap sleeves and a adorable little collar topping that dramatic and exaggerated bow at the front! It's a statement piece to be sure! Mint condition.
The label on this wonderful little bit of history dates it to the mid-sixties. Lilly Pulitzer is infamous for having dressed Jackie Kennedy during the summer months and her bright colored, happy little shifts were favorites of Hampton society girls too! Her dresses are bright and fresh and the early ones always incorporated lace details. This one does just that with an applique of lace at the neck and detailing that one top placed pocket on one hip! The dress is fresh and modern still and has a completely summer innocence to it. It is also a great larger, wearable size and in mint condition. Just a terrific dress to throw on and go all summer long.

An early Sonia Rykiel that really sums up her chic French girl style that screams, throw on and go, with a touch of whimsy and charm! This is a very light weight, very fine wool jersey that is amazingly soft. The bodice is tightly fitted but has that wonderful attached caped collar that drapes over it at both the front and back. This really gives it a nice romantic feel. The skirt is attached at the waist with exposed, almost raw seam work - another fabulous, but subtle detail. Lots of fabric was used in the skirt so you get a lot of movement. It is a real stunner and one that is endlessly interesting to style. Rare too as this was part of a special collection done only for Henri Bendel. Excellent condition.

An amazing Alaia knit dress made of his signature stretch knit that is made to wrap and exaggerate your every curve. It is long and lean and skims the body. The neckline is a wide rounded scoop that shows off a girls cleavage to full, almost scandalous advantage. There is no defined waist - it glides past the bust and down and around the hips. There is an incredible lace panel that is set just above the knees at the front so you get a glimpse of the skin of your thighs. That same panel is made to curve and as it goes around the back it curves up and just under the butt. Each lean sleeve ends in a burst of ruffled lace. Its amazing and sexy as hell. Everything an Alaia is meant to be! Excellent condition.

Seriously beautiful little day dress that is bang on in every possible way. The cut is simple and chic - it skims and hugs the body but in the most refined of ways. The silk is superb- very high quality silk twill. Onto that is screened a stunning array of flowers and the colors literally feel as if they are about to jump off the dress they are still so crisp and bright. I love the detail on the shoulder too - its a modified bow but is worked into the seam work of the fabric and constructed as if it is blooming out of the fabric. It is gorgeous and stunning! Mint condition.
Drop dead gorgeous screened print dress by Alix of Miami. The cotton is polished and is a beautifully screened floral print that is still extremely vibrant and true - in fact this dress looks like it has never been worn! The braided piping detail that runs around the waist and adds to the illusion of a nipped in waistline is utterly fantastic. The interior construction is very well done - it has its own built in bra area so no additional underpinning is required there. I love the faux crossover bodice - it really is flattering and the dress is in beautiful condition.
Bust: 19" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Waist: 15" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Hips: 18" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Bodice: approx 14" from top of shoulder to piping at the side of the waist
Skirt: approx 26" from piping on the side of the waist to bottom hem
The dress is fully lined in an off white cotton muslin. The bust has a built in cup area that is similar in construction to a swimsuit of this era. It closes with a back painted metal zipper. Note the inside bust sits a bit high as some of these 1950s pieces do - you could remove the interior cup if necessary.

Love this fitted one shoulder dress by Missoni. It is a sleek sheath of fluid, fine poly jersey that is covered with the infamous Missoni print and done in their signature orange and coral hues. Even that fantastic fringe have a color variation built into them! The fringe runs in slanted bands and circle the entire dress so with every movement of yours they move! It weighs ounces and that one shoulder just adds to the sexiness of the piece. The jersey skims and clings over the body but in a forgiving way, helped by the profusion of print and the fringe! Gorgeous and in excellent condition

Love this printed 1970s dress by Maurice, who was a Pucci & Leonard contemporary in the seventies and used the same type of print work in his pieces. The dress has a halter style bodice that is bordered with a contrasting print. It is cut fairly straight though the hips and has a slit up one side to show a flash of leg. It is a great & easy dress to wear† - style it for day with flats or paired with a cropped evening jacket and heels for evening events year-round. I love the simple halter cut from which the skirt flows to the ground. The back is left completely bare and the colors remain crisp and true. Excellent condition!
This is an absolutely stunning Paganne in a soft silk jersey, with an amazing color palette of bright tropical lime greens, mixed with a pretty floral print in pinks all mixed with a crisp white! The bodice is very simple with pretty floral trimmed bands around the neck and the arms. It has a bit of a scooped neck which is very flattering. The skirt is long and the combination of print and color is so striking! One side of that skirt has a sexy 18" slit. It is a beautiful, dramatic piece and in excellent condition
Absolutely stunning pale yellow chiffon full length dress by Mollie Parnis, one of my favorite American designers! The dress is slightly paler then how it has photoed - a very soft and romantic shade of whipped lemon. The outermost layer of chiffon has a pale silk layer under it and an additional layer of organza under that - this really gives the fabric depth an texture and a floating romantic feel. The floral applique is heat set directly onto the chiffon - so each floral was individually cut and set into place and fused with the chiffon - you can actually see the edgings of each - amazing! The belt is done in the darker fabric so it picks up the depth of color at the bottom of the skirt. It is a beautiful, dramatic piece and in excellent condition.
This is one of the most sought after Ossie Clark designs and it is easy to see why! This version has been done in a fantastic purple moss crepe and wraps and ties. It is all cut on the bias so the movement is amazing when it is one. I love the sexy plunge the front creates and the saucy little tie at the neck. The waist is cinched in and the skirt flares to the ground in that perfect way that only Ossie did. This one is tiny - it is really too small for the mannequin - I cheated the tie at the waist - on a girl this fits properly it would not be quite as open down the front (but close). It is a super great price because it is not perfect (please take the time to read the full description below), however it is still completely wearable still so I think the girl who grabs it will still be super happy! It is afterall, an iconic design and this is about 1/2 or less what it would be priced if it were flawless!
Shoulders: 14" across
Bust: approx 16.5" flat across the back side seam to side seam
Waist: 12" flat across side seam to side seam - you can adjust this up or down about an inch
Hips: open
Bodice: 13" from shoulder to bottom of waist band
Skirt: 45' from bottom of waist band to hem
The dress is unlined wraps and ties to close, It has a snaps at the waist to hold as well. It was a little small on the mannequin so will not be as open at the front on a girl it fits properly. It is not perfect but still wearable. There is a slight change in the color here and there and some slight sheen marks from over-ironing at some point. See pictures but be assured that it is all pretty even. Still a great dress!! There is a repair that looks to have been done sometime ago to fix a tear from a heel about mid way up the back of the skirt. It looks horrid from the inside and passable from the outside. The folds and fullness of the skirt make it so that it not† huge issue when actually one.

Amazing and insanely sexy pin up dress with a flapper edge by Lilli Diamond. The dress is white with loads of silver sequins head to toe making it a touch glitzy and glimmery. A heavier banding of sequins highlight the neckline, back and shoulder straps. It is cut to follow every curve and and has a bit of a burlesque or showgirl vibe! Those bands of fringe just add to it's sex appeal and when you move they are fabulous! I love how they are placed in rows of inverted V's too - this draws the eye up and in making a girl looks taller, curvier and leaner! Love it! Excellent condition!

As with every Azzedine Alaia piece you cannot help but to feel sexy in it. Most pieces you see of his are black or white so I especially love this brilliant blue dress! Such a fantastic shot of color! It is basically a fitted mini dress that has an asymmetrical semi sheer over skirt attached. I love the angled skirt - it gives an extra bit of leg! The top is cut almost Tee shirt style with a row of painted snaps down the front. You can also wear these to the back and of course open or close them as you prefer! The knit is opaque and a fine, flat eave with some sheen to it. Gorgeous, sexy and ever so Alaia! Excellent condition!
An amazing and fabulous LBD from Nina Ricci! Please take a moment to go through the closer photos and super size them - this dress is deceptively simple but really an amazing feat of construction. The bodice is simplicity itself with a romantic feeling halter construction that is flattering but not so low or bare that you feel exposed. The waist is nipped slightly but this is created by vertical seaming from the empire seam just under the bust - this really gives a long, lean silhouette! The skirt is really the delight of this piece - the fabric panels expand so there is actually an amazing amount of fabric there and it is quite full with lots of movement. The seaming is done so these panels naturally curve - so they way you see it sitting in the photos is what it does in real life! Amazing. It is all done in a fine fine wool and it has a good substantial, couture like feel. Lined in black tissue silk so feels wonderful on. Rare label to find and in mint condition!

Love this one shoulder Greek goddess gown from Mac Tac for Leonard Sunshine! Mac Tac dresses are all made form slinky fluid jersey and most are printed - along the lines of the Bessi, Leonard and Pucci contemporaries of those days. It is a bit rarer to find an all black version and personally I love it - it has a very sophisticated vibe while still being so easy to wear, pack and care for. You literally just throw this on, add shoes and go. You can do flats and a tote for a casual summer day or make it full out glamorous for evening with a simple switch of shoes, bag and baubles! The inner dress is a simple sheath that just skims over the body. An attached layer of fabric gives it that goddess like feel and a bit of extra movement. The one shoulder adds a nice detail and really highlights the drape of the added panel of fabric. Excellent condition!

This is am amazing and decadent maxi dress! Every square inch is covered in glossy metallic burgundy, flat round sequins in a weightless silk chiffon base. The body of the piece is lined in hand dyed matching fabric and the entire dress is shockingly lightweight. It snaps to close shirt dress style which also allows you to leave the skirt open or closed and control the amount of plunge! The original belt is present and in great condition. The waist nips in and the dress skims the body while the sequins make the entire thing glint and glimmer in the light. Terrific piece in excellent condition and well made as one would expect from Oscar de la Renta!
Fully lined in a matching burgundy silky rayon. through the bodice and skirt. The sleeves are left unlined. Hand finished inside. The original silk satin covered belt is included and is in great shape. There may be a sequin missing here or there but it is extremely minor and you could use ones from inside the hems to replace if you lose any down the road! There is minor discoloration to the inside under each arm but it is freshly and professionally cleaned and this does not show on the exterior.

Fully lined in a pale pink tissue silk. Hand finished throughout. It closes with large fabric covered snaps under each fabric covered buttons. Similar snaps are at each cuff. There are very small marks inside the lining at the back - these do not affect its wearability. The gold thread and sequins follow a pattern screened onto silk netting. There are breaks in the threads here and there throughout - this happens with age with this type of thread and it gives it a patina that can't really be considered a flaw - it is unavoidable. The garment has been priced accordingly.

With the trend towards brights and neons this is the perfect find. It is so fresh and modern looking I almost thought it was a new dress that was just a vintage knock off. I was delighted upon closer inspection to find the Nat Kaplan label tucked inside! It is a simple cut - almost sheath dress, but with seaming at the waist so it avoids being too tubular. The simplicity of the cut allows the color to really pop and take center stage. A slight rolled neckline is a pretty detail and it lands just at the knee. Excellent, unworn condition.
A stunning silk one shoulder dress in a multitude of pink hues. Yards of silk chiffon cascade over one shoulder and the more fitted dress underneath. I love how the silk just streams down from that shoulder and how there is a little band of extra fabric looped over the seam that sits at the top of the shoulder so the illusion is that the exterior has no seams at all! Very feminine and romantic and lost of movement and softness. Note that the dress is a true deep pink - it is a touch redder in the pictures then what it actually is - the picture of the label is the closest to the true color but even that is a tad too vibrant. A really fabulous color and in excellent condition!

A gorgeous Geoffrey Beene dress with an amazing print and cut! The bodice is fitted and lean with long sleeves and a high neckline. The skirt twirls out from the waist and is amazingly full - it reminds me of a skater skirt or a 1950s circle skirt it has so much fabric in it. It is just above the knee so is adorable on! The waist nips in and it has the original jabot or neck tie that has wider, rounded ends - you can style this a zillion ways. The fabric is a polished cotton mix knit jersey - it has enough weight to help hold the shape and structure of the dress but is comfortable to wear. The base is black with little bursts of color in a geometric pattern that really pops! Excellent condition. Item# DD741
Love this bright and somewhat rare YSL piece done in an amazing and bright explosion of colors and floral print! This is the piece you will throw on over everything in the summer - wear it as a micro mini or as a tunic - with heels or flats or to the beach - the possibilities are endless. It is cut tunic style with blue and gold ric rac trim detailing on the collar and each cuff. The neckline is very wide and can be worn off shoulder. Each sleeve is cut full and then nips in at the cuff. You can leave it loose and easy as shown or cinch it for shape. Really exceptional. Excellent condition
Black poly chiffon is perma pleated into sharp knife pleats on this little beauty. This gives the dress tremendous texture and richness. The skirt has tons of fabric in it and the combination of chiffon and pleats makes it really move. The hem is hand rolled and stitched so it creates a bit of a ruffled effect. The waist nips in and the bodice has a goddessy draped feel because of the chiffon and pleats. The entire front has a plunged to the waist illusion made by using backed nude netting. Onto this is a gorgeous pattern of bead work and rhinestones. The bead work carries up and around the entire neckline. Gorgeous and rich looking, it is one of those great little black dresses you will end up wearing again and again. Excellent condition

What a fantastic pop of color! I love Holly Harp pieces - they always have this cool girl seventies rocker chic feel to them. You can just imagine the original fabulous girl that threw these on with great abandon. The dress is cut long and lean† with no defined waist until you cinch it in with the belt. This makes it really easy to wear. It buttons all the way form top to bottom so you can leave some buttons open for a flash of leg if you wish. It has nice detailing across the shoulders. It is really all about the color so is once again right on trend. The label is her early lace label. Excellent condition
I Have a Question
The Miss Dior label launched in 1967 and it was meant to appeal more to the daughters of the established couture clients. The boutique was right next door to the Couture atelier and the line was sold only there and in stores throughout France. In December of 1970 the line hit the US market, in place of the by then finished Dior-New York label. It was an instant hit. The clothing produced for this label was made in the Dior workrooms and was designed primarily by Phillipe Guiborgé, who also designed the Boutique lines, but was still overseen and finalized by Marc Bohan.
This black velvet dress has a bit of the feel of the turn of the century in its design. That whole 1800s milk maiden look was all the rage in the sixties and this dress touches on that in an appeal to the younger audience that this label was after. the dress itself is cut fairly simple in its execution. The neck is scooped and the bust fitted. The waist is set high and the skirt below that is a sleek sheath that falls to mid-calf with a gentle flare as it nears the hem. The shoulders have a subtle capping effect and the sleeves are cut slim. The fabric itself becomes a design detail and the velvet gives it a rich feel. The twist comes into play with a detailing of large flat backed, glossy ovals that are set along the waist and in a double row on each sleeve. Each one of them is a full inch and a quarter high and they are set within a cord made out of a woven yarn. This gives you three plays on texture - the gloss of the beads, the matte of the yarn and the richness of the velvet. It is lined in high end silk finished beautifully. Excellent condition
Fully lined in black, hand set silk lining and closes with a back painted metal zipper. There are a couple of spots where the pile of velvet has been pressed the opposite way so it catches the light differently - very minor. Each cuff has hidden zippers. Iconic mini dress by Azzedine Alaia. His forte is the ability to cut garments that cling like a second skin and yet somehow manage to nip and tuck and add curves in all the right places. This is the classic, extremely sexy, bandage dress with insets of a contrasting ribbed knit. The insets are set in a way that makes the dress look like a corset or garter - it highlights every curve. The bust is cut very low and I love the three strap detailing that goes over each shoulder. The back is low and the hem is high. Its the LBD when you want to drop jaws. This rare Pat Sandler dress is one of the best mix of prints I have ever seen. The colors make you think of far off wild exotic destinations where you can pair this with leather sandals and gooff n exotic adventures. The top has a deep V in both the front and back and the sleeves are left unlined so are just slightly sheer and are cut to flare out at the wrists. The fabric is a semi-sheer cotton silk voile so the piece does not weigh much but retains its shape when worn. The skirt is slightly full and the colors are bright and vibrant - deeper and richer then how it has photoed. Seriously fabulous and in excellent condition!

This collection was hailed by Style.com as being "the one collection that encapsulated everything that's best about Fall" Their review went on to state "In one way, Elbaz's collection was a feat of technical genius. He'd started off by making fabric out of strips of grosgrain ribbon, winding hundreds of meters of the stuff around the body to make shapely dresses, blouses, and skirtsóa step on from the free-flowing plissÈs of his Summer collection.....The result was a tour de force of innovation and simplicity .... asymmetric body-molding cocktail options...In a season when so many have anxiously cast around for what women will want in a recession, Elbaz has intuited the best answer of all: Give us restraint, give us pragmatism, but never slam the door on the possibility of utter gorgeousness" This dress is straight off the runway and an amazing combination of a deep slate grey silk topping an inner chiffon dress. I like that this version is completely sleeveless - it balances the dress better in my opinion. It is comletely cut on the bias and any shape is achieved by the masterful draping as it has minimal seaming. Exceptional and really the start of the draped and pleated look he is now infamous for. Excellent, unworn condition.
This is classic Courreges and I love the bright orange color! The silhouette of this screams that it is a Courreges and it an iconic and still highly wearable piece! From the Hyperbole line it has that classic sculptural silhouette. It would have been worn layered over one of his turtlenecks or mesh tops that were all sold separately but meant to mix and match but works equally wonderfully as shown for a modern girl. The straps are bold and I love the matching hued buttons on the front and back. The zipper is hidden along a back side seam so it seems to have no seams at all! Two pockets are similarly and cleverly hidden along the front seams. The skirt is cut on an A-line and the entire thing a masterpiece of cut and construction. Iconic and in excellent condition!
I love the classic cut of this suit with it's box jacket and slim pencil skirted dress. And I could go on for days about the fabric! It is rich and luxe and amazing! Really one of the best example of silk and textiles of this period I have seen! The dress is a slim cut simple shift that is cut to skim over your curves. It is refined and graceful and the color is perfection. I love the coppery pink thread mixed with silvers that is woven into the soft green silk back drop. The colors pop off each other and it just adds to the rich feel of the set. The jacket is classic box cut but with wonderful details like that wide band at the bottom back and the fabric covered buttons. It is simplicity mixed with a masterful seaming and cutting and extraordinary fabric. This is from the Custom line to the equivalent of a a made to order one step under couture piece! Excellent condition and a true beauty

A fantastic late 1950s Galanos that shows the level of control and excellent he had when it came to form and structure. A textured black wool is cut almost architecturally to make this classic little black dress. You can see the influence of other houses - Balenciaga for example - in the rounded shoulders and strong A-line skirt. A single deep inverted pleat is built into each side of the skirt which helps to hold the shape and give ease for movement. The bodice is simple, with a rounded silhouette and huge buttons down the front that offer a wonderful contrast to the texture of the fabric. The little notch at the top of where the slightly off set buttons finish give it a subtle bit of refined sexiness. I love it! Excellent condition

Azzedine Alaia is a master of knits and this is a wonderful example of his earlier work. This has a definite eighties vibe to it, in a great kind of way and is [erfect for layering over other pieces or as a stand alone. It still has that body conscious feel to it that Alaia pieces do but in a subtler way. I love the diagonal striping across the back and how the waist is nipped in by manipulation of the knit rather then seaming. It snaps to close so can be worn as open or closed as you prefer. It will work as a dress, a layering piece or a light coat. Excellent condition

A superb gown that uses texture and fabric to bring richness to the piece. This allows the cut to be kept refined and simple. The bodice is made of a luxurious black velvet with minimal seaming. The shoulders are rounded and the sleeves are each a column of black velvet. A V dips at both the front and back - it is actually quite low at the back even on a girl that the dress would fully zip (it appears lower than it really is here since it was too small to fully zip up on the mannequin) The skirt is a quilted off white A-line that sweeps to the floor. There is subtle padding under the quilting and this helps to add texture and to hold the shape of the skirt. It is stunning and in excellent condition. You could add a sparkly brooch at the neckline or an elaborate neck piece to add tot he regal feel this beautiful gown has. Berin was a favorite of Pat Nixon and Ladybird Johnson and you can see why in this classic gown! Excellent condition
The top is fully lined in black tissue silk and the skirt in a off-white tissue silk. It closes with a back painted metal zipper. Each cuff has hidden snaps. Hand finishes. Note that it closes to about 6" above the back waist line - it is too small to close on the mannequin. It does not open to the waist as pictured.

This is a fantastic piece and is a stunning example of how Oscar De la Renta masterfully creates the most exquisite, feminine pieces over and over! It is a tribute to all that is refined and elegant. A heavy pale pink silk skirt, with just a drop of peach to the tone, has a stunning overlay of black lace that runs around the skirt just above the ruffled hem. The bodice is fitted with a high lace neckline, built in inner bodice and beautiful lace sleeves. The effect of being covered completely and yet having the skin peek through the lace is a delicious contrast and has a subtle sexiness. The skirt is cut to fall wider as it falls to the ground. I love how he has carried the lace over the waist so it sits atop the hips and how all the edges of the lace are left scalloped! It is in wonderful condition and a stunning early!

Bodice: 16" from shoulder to waist seam?
Skirt: 38" from waist seam to bottom hem
Sleeves: 18"
The skirt is fully lined in a pale peach silk organza. The bodice is lined in a fine silk tissue. It closes with a back painted metal zipper at the back waist, and a hook & eye at the top of the neck. There are some small, light discolorations along the hem. The inner silk lining shows some heel marks, scuffing and fraying to the edges of the hem. There are a couple of small pin holes near the hem of the exterior ruffle as well- these do not show when worn and are mentioned for accuracy.

The fabric on this dress is fantastic! It is a toweling fabric so has lots of texture and feels fantastic on. A classic Gucci braid and logo run in diagonal stripes from top to bottom of the dress. The cut is kept simple and is so chic so that the fabric and that perfect red color can take center stage. It is basically an A-line sheath that runs from one shoulder. The fabric makes it a jet setter chic piece for the beach that you can wear with sandals for day and yet the silhouette will easily transition to evening with a quick switch of accessories. Earlier, really good Gucci pieces are hard to find and this one is amazing and iconic - it really is the best of the best of Gucci from this era! Excellent condition!
