F/W 2013 Balmain Gold Print Lame Mini Dress

Spectacular bold silhouette Balmain dress from the fall 2013 collection in a fabulous muted gold. The fabric is genius - it is extremely light despite its metallic feel and has a touch of transparency. There is also a fabulous screened print worked into the fabric that really allows it to play in the light. The transparency effect really shows most on those fabulously full sleeves where it is left as a single layer, and then through the body the transparency acts to help build the texture and depth as the print on the fabric is layered over each other. The shoulders are signature bold and the full sleeves taper to a beautifully detailed cuff. The fabric on the sexy and short skirt is layered and draped so the effect is that the hips are wrapped in it. Each side of the skirt is also gathered - all done to show maximum leg. The bodice of the dress is cut loose with long open keyholes at both the front and back and this is balanced by a high neckline. It is spectacular and sexy and a collectible now and as a future vintage piece. It is brand new with tags.
