1920s Elaborately Beaded Flapper

Exquisite 1920s dress in a remarkable and unusual shade of soft green. The silk chiffon is finished with mind boggling tiny stitches and a filigreed edge along the scalloped hem. The bead work is amazing. Entirely hand done and most remarkably - the color of threading used behind the beads is different for each bit of design so that the beads take on the most subtle of hues from the color under them! I have never seen that detail used in a dress of this period before! The beading and sequins are a mix of the tiniest, tiniest sequins mother of pearls beads and big gold colored beads. The waist is caught up with a bow and sash of lame. The dress can be worn as shown or the other way around - both sides are finished to equal measures. The hem is a modified car wash and there are no closures - you just slip it over an under dress and go. Strong and wearable with the care and love it deserves to be shown - this is one of the best 20s pieces I have ever seen. The level of work in this piece would only be found in the highest couture of today! Museum quality.

SIZE GUIDE

Please review all measurements carefully. More often than not, vintage garments do not fit any size category exactly. If in doubt, measure a garment of your own that fits and is a similar cut and compare it's measurements to the listed measurements below.
