This set is just incredible. It is over the top glamour combined with strict tailoring and a nod to the 80s power suit but done in full blown evening mode. Both pieces are detailed with elaborate and dramatic feathers that add incredible volume and movement to the set. The inner dress is pure 80s sexuality with a tight fitted silhouette and push up velvet finished bodice. The use of velvet here is quite clever as it adds a third texture to the dress highlights the bust subtly but not in t away that competes with that insane hem. The bottom of the dress is a masterpiece, finished with a wide band of plumage that is thick and lush. When the jacket is worn over the dress it is cut to end just above this band of feathers so that you get the full impact of it whether you wear the dress on its own or not. The jacket is made of the same black wool crepe and is cut to fit and form to the body and is beautifully tailored. Each sleeve on the jacket has a cuff of feathers that match the hem on the skirt. It closes at the front with four beautiful silver and crystal buttons that give the set the perfect finishing detail. It is fantastic and I love the versatility the two piece have. Excellent condition

Both pieces are lined in a black silk. The dress closes with a back hidden set zipper and the jacket closes with the buttons at the front. Extremely well made with hand finished. Looks unworn and the feathers are full and glossy. Inner cups in the bodice of the dress. Tagged a US4

Note that the bust of the dress is very small so please make sure to check that measurement. On the mannequin it looks like the back has the same notched front as the dress but it actually would not close on the mannequin
