1972 Missoni Metallic Three Pieces Pantsuit Set

Very rare 1970s metallic lurex, super fine weight knit Missoni set is just fabulous! The photos do not come close to capturing the beauty of the fabric or the way it moves and how fine and light it is. It is also quite remarkable to find the entire set, including the belts. all together like this. The pants slip on with an elastic waist and you can see how full and wide the legs are cut - when on they look like a maxi skirt they are so wide. These are lined in a fine, lingerie weight, nude jersey. The shirt is classic seventies with pointed collars, a skinny fit through the body and sleeves and there are belt loops for the tie so you can wear it over the pants and cinch the waist - note that pattern on the top is different so you get a great subtle contrast. The matching jacket  is also present and has that same long, lean cut and tie at the waist with its own tie belt. Utterly and perfectly seventies in every way and really versatile since you have three pieces to work into your wardrobe.

The pants are lined as per above and the top and jacket are unlined. The pants have an elastic waist. the top buttons and the jacket has no closures but does have front pockets.

SIZE GUIDE

Please review all measurements carefully. More often than not, vintage garments do not fit any size category exactly. If in doubt, measure a garment of your own that fits and is a similar cut and compare it's measurements to the listed measurements below.
